Program Description:

This program prepares you for employment as a welding and joining technician.

You, the graduate, will be competent in the general areas of communications, mathematics, and interpersonal relations, as well as in the services areas of shielded metal arc welding in the flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions, blueprint reading, gas metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, oxyacetylene welding and oxyfuel cutting, and common joining processes.

Program Admission Requirements

  1. Present official documentation of an earned high school diploma or official GED scores.
  2. Be at least 16 years old.
  3. Present appropriate test scores, or present an official transcript documenting college-level English and mathematics with grades of "C" or better.
  4. Complete a program conference sheet with advisor prior to program admission.
