Machine Tool Technology Diploma

Program Description

This diploma program is for you if you enjoy working with raw materials to produce finished products required for all industrial-manufacturing processes. You will develop the knowledge and manipulative skills necessary for employment in the metal-working industry. You will learn how to read blueprints and how to operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines, milling machines, lathes, grinders, boring
machines, metal saws, and drill presses. As a graduate, you will be qualified as a general machine-tool technician, tool-and-die maker, and machine-tool apprentice; you will also have the foundation with which to pursue further education for becoming an advanced machine-tool technician, CNC specialist, tool-and-die technician, and mold-making technician.

Program Admission Requirements

  1. Present official documentation of an earned high school diploma or official GED scores.
  2. Be at least 16 years old.
  3. Present appropriate test scores, or present an official transcript documenting college level English and mathematics with grades of "C" or better.
