Carpentry Diploma

Next Steps

Program Description:

As a graduate of this diploma program, you will be able to plan and execute all the details of residential or commercial carpentry: knowledge of materials, construction print reading, site layout, footing and foundation construction, floor and wall framing, ceiling and roof framing, insulation, interior wall and ceiling covering, interior trim, and exterior finishes and trims. You will learn how computers can bring precision to the planning and execution of a job. If you choose commercial carpentry, you will learn to work with steel. All aspects of the program involve a practicum where you learn on real job sites or tasks. You will become familiar with and master the use of tools necessary for any general carpentry work.

This program includes specializations in both residential and commercial carpentry. Your diploma indicates to employers and customers that you were trained to the highest industry standards. Such expertise is always in demand.
