555 Students Qualified for June Graduation

A total of 555 students met the requirements needed to graduate on Monday, June 15, 2009. Hundreds of grads and their loved ones packed the Columbus Convention and Trade Center ballroom for the 7:30 commencement ceremony.

June 15, 2009: Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit District Attorney Julia Slater delivered the commencement address at Columbus Technical College's graduation ceremony. Her comments focused on how important it is to listen to your conscience and be ethical in the real world.

Columbus Technical College Respiratory Care graduate Thad Higgins was the focal point of a story on "starting over" that aired Monday, June 16, 2009 on local ABC affiliate, WTVM. Thad was laid off from his job of 30 years when he decided to pursue an Associate Degree in respiratory care. The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer also has photos posted on its website. Congratulations to all of the graduates!
