Dental Hygiene Student Earns $1,000 Scholarship

April 4, 2008 - Columbus Technical College Dental Hygiene student, Dawn Hunsinger, now has $1,000 to help fund her education. Hunsinger, 28, was awarded a scholarship from the American Dental Association Foundation (ADAF) in March. She is one of only 15 students nationwide who won a scholarship for this field.

Dawn will use the scholarship money to pay for her licensure exam. She will graduate this summer and says the scholarship will look great on her resume.

Dawn said, “I was thrilled to hear the news. I already have one job offer and I’m just humbled and excited to have won this scholarship.” Dawn Hunsinger is already employed in the dental field in Human Resources but chose to pursue her degree in Dental Hygiene so she could have a more hands-on career helping people.
