Community Members Walk for Local Autism Support Group

October 12, 2007 - Columbus Technical College was well represented at a recent fundraiser aimed at raising awareness and money for a local autism support group. The Muscogee County Autism Support Group (MCASG) hosted the October 6, 2007 Walk/Run. Participants hoofed it for about three miles and had financial support for their effort. Ten walkers from Columbus Technical College participated, as did six volunteers. The walk was a huge success. The co-founder of MCASG, Lisa Jenkins, reported that more than 500 people attended the walk at Columbus' Hardaway High School and more than $23,000 was raised.
