'Table Clinics' by CTC Dental Hygiene Students

On Friday August 24, 2007, Columbus Technical College Dental Hygiene students put their learning on the table - literally. As part of the requirements for this program, students presented a table clinic -- an informal tabletop presentation using oral communication and visual media to inform, clarify and/or review material on a topic. The event was held from 1:00 – 3:00 PM in the Patrick Hall Student Center. Topics on display included:

  1. Oral Health for the Heart
  2. Tobacco Products and the Increased Risk of Squamous Cell Carcinoma
  3. Inside the Meth Mouth
  4. Harmful Effects of Smokeless Tobacco
  5. Common Stains and Solutions
  6. Science of Saliva
  7. Oral Health Risks of Diabetics
