Phlebotomy Technician Certificate

This program prepares the student to function as an integral member of the laboratory team. Students are taught skills for collection of blood samples from patients by venipuncture as well as transportation of specimens and quality safety measures. After completion of the program the student is eligible to take a national certification examination from American Medical Technologists (AMT) and upon passing is certified as Registered Phlebotomy Technician (RPT).

Program Admission Requirements:

Present official documentation of an earned high school diploma or official GED scores.
Be at least 17 years old.
Submit current physical exam, immunization record and PPD results before entering clinical rotation.

Entrance is contingent upon completing a Background check from H.I.R.E. which must be completed after being conditionally accepted to the program.
