Patient Care Assisting CertificateNext StepsProgram Description: This program is designed to prepare students for the general concepts of basic patient care. Emphasis is placed on medical terminology, transporting techniques, elimination needs, and vital signs. The graduate works under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. Graduates will be administered competency testing for Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in the State of Georgia. To receive nurse aide certification the student must pass a written and skills performance examination approved by Georgia Medical Care Foundation. Career Information and Occupational Outlook:
