Health information Technology Degree

Degree: Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.)

Program Description: This program is designed to prepare students for employment in healthcare business arenas where information technology health information management is of prime concern. Health Information Technology graduates will have technical skills and knowledge to function in a profession that demands processing, compiling and maintaining health information data for reimbursement, facility planning, marketing, risk management, quality management, utilization management and research.

Program Admission Requirements:

  1. Present official documentation of an earned high school diploma or official GED Scores.
  2. Be at least 18 years of age.
  3. Meet minimum entrance test scores and complete required provisional coursework.
  4. Successful completion of Level I background check.
  5. Competitive admission process does not apply at this time.
