SkillsUSA Team to Compete in Kansas City

June 23, 2008 - Columbus Technical College's 2008 SkillsUSA team has left for Kansas City, Missouri to vie for national titles. Ten students and four advisors have made the trip. Competition begins Tuesday, June 24 and ends with an awards ceremony on Friday, June 27.

All students battling it out in Kansas City have earned gold medals in their regional competitions. The Columbus Technical College students competing are: Automotive Refinishing Technology/Joseph Allen, Health Knowledge Bowl/Rebecca Bishop, Tiffany Cobb, Candice Darling, Anthony Fitzpatrick, Major Appliance Technology/Donny Kimbrell, Community Service/Amanda Sabens, Kurt Szlaczky, Amy Harrell/Practical Nursing and Pricilla Pierce/Early Childhood Education.
