Degree: Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.)

Program Description:

The Criminal Justice associate degree program is a sequence of courses that prepare students for careers in the field of Criminal Justice. Learning opportunities develop academic and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The program emphasizes training in the areas of constitutional and criminal law, criminal justice technology, corrections, and juvenile justice. Program graduates are exposed to situations that will assist them in creating attitudes necessary to succeed as Criminal Justice professionals.

Graduates who are currently practitioners will benefit through enhancement of career potential. Entry-level persons will be prepared to pursue diverse opportunities in the corrections, security, investigative and police administration fields.

Program Admission Requirements:

  1. Present official documentation of an earned high school diploma or official GED scores.
  2. Be at least 16 years old.
  3. Present appropriate test scores, or present an official college transcript documenting college-level English and mathematics with grades of “C” or better.
  4. No provisional and/or special admission allowed in the program.
