Culinary Instructor - Full Time Columbus Technical College is accepting applications for a Culinary Instructor. Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited college with 18 graduate semester hours/30 graduate quarter hours in culinary arts. Occupational experience must have occurred in a setting appropriate to culinary skills. A basic level of computer skills is required. This instructor will serve as a fulltime faculty member teaching Culinary Arts within the School of Professional and Technical Services beginning Winter Quarter 2008. Duties will include classroom and lab instruction, recruitment, advisement, retention, and the daily operations of the culinary arts program. This will include day and evening classes. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college in accounting, finance, business administration or related field is required. A master’s degree is preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES: To serve as a part-time faculty member within the Economic Development Division. Applicant will be able to combine high standards with a relationship oriented approach to the student population. Will have primary responsibility for financial services program development and daily operations, teaching, advising, and recruitment. Should be prepared to teach day, evening or online classes as assigned to support the needs of the students. Applicant will establish and maintain a close working relationship with local businesses and industries to ensure program courses meet or exceed their expectations, and to develop work-based experiences for those close to graduation.OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant should have a broad background in accounting, finance, or business administration with preference given to those applicants who have post-secondary teaching experience or who are recent graduates in the field.
